Vigil held for NYPD Detective Joseph Lemm
Mourners gathered for a vigil Tuesday at the Bronx precinct where NYPD detective and U.S. National Guardsman Joseph Lemm worked.
Lemm died along with five other Americans in a suicide attack in Afghanistan last month. His funeral was last week.
Friends, family members and other mourners remembered him at the NYPD's 50th Precinct in Kingsbridge.
Officers at the precinct say Lemm had earned the nickname "Superman" with his reputation for helping people in the community.
He was a 15-year NYPD veteran who served on the Bronx warrant squad since 2014.
He lived in Westchester County and leaves behind a wife and two children.
