Police: Gas station worker hurt in armed robbery

Police are searching for a male suspect who robbed a Bronx gas station, injuring one employee in the process. It happened around 10 p.m. Saturday at the Gulf station on Jerome Avenue in Bedford Park.

Police: Gas station worker hurt in armed robbery
Police are searching for a male suspect who robbed a Bronx gas station, injuring one employee in the process.
It happened around 10 p.m. Saturday at the Gulf station on Jerome Avenue in Bedford Park.
A 49-year-old man was working the register at the time of the incident. Police say the suspect struck the employee in the face with a gun, grabbed cash from behind the counter and then fled.
The victim suffered cuts to the face and broken teeth. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital.
