Piece of ceiling falls on pregnant woman

A woman who is four months pregnant was rushed to the hospital after part of her bathroom ceiling collapsed.

Isis Fields, already a mother of two, says a piece of the ceiling fell on her head Wednesday at her apartment on 163rd Street. Fields says the piece that fell was covering a hole where the ceiling had collapsed twice before.

Fields says she has been trying to get her landlord or super to fix the ceiling for months.

The apartment building has 12 open violations, and the building's landlord ranked number 19 on the city's list of worst landlords in 2013.

News 12 is told the landlord has tried to relocate Fields' family to a hotel, but Fields hasn't accepted the offer.

Fields says she was told by her child service worker that she may lose custody of her children if she relocates.
