Man wanted in pepper-spray robbery of straphanger
Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who allegedly robbed a sleeping passenger on the 4 train.
Police say Angel Garcia, 47, sprayed the sleeping commuter with pepper spray before taking the victim's cellphone around 4:50 a.m. on Jan. 3 near the Bedford Park Boulevard station.
The victim was treated at a hospital.
Police say the incident fits a pattern, and they identified Garcia. He is described as being 5 feet 5 inches and weighing 185 pounds.
