Disabled woman wants broken sidewalk fixed
A disabled woman from the Bronx says she has to risk her life every time she leaves the house because of a broken sidewalk she's been trying to get fixed for years.
Sabrina Brown, who lives in the Rose Hill senior housing development on Bedford Park Boulevard, says she's been dealing with this problem for the past three years.
"You're basically sitting in the street, with cars and stuff passing, and you can't back up because the sidewalk isn't fixed. It's unfair," says Brown.
Brown says she sometimes crosses in the middle of the street to avoid the broken sidewalk but knows that isn't the safest alternative for an elderly woman like herself.
