Police say a man collapsed to the ground after being shot in the chest in East Flatbush Monday.

It happened on Snyder Avenue in front of a deli around 9 a.m.

Witnesses say gunfire erupted outside of the business where a group of people had gathered.

They say the 17-year-old man who was shot attempted to run down the street, but eventually collapsed in front of a building on Utica Avenue.

Emergency responders say the victim was transported to Kings County Hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Police say the man is expected to be OK.

Meanwhile, police are still looking for a suspect in the case.
