3 bouncers shot at Bronx night club

Three Bronx night club bouncers are recovering after they were shot by a man they prevented from entering.

The shooting occurred around 4:30 a.m. Sunday at Praia Night Club, located on Carter Avenue.

Police say the bouncers got into a fight with a group of men who were trying to enter the club. Police say the group walked away and then one man returned to the club and opened fire.

Surveillance video from the club shows a man in dark clothing running down the street, away from the club around the time the shooting happened.

A 35-year-old man was shot in the back and was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken to Lincoln Hospital, and a 31-year-old man was also shot in the leg and taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital.

The three men are expected to be OK.
