Funeral held for former NYPD Officer David Hofer who was killed in Texas shootout

The funeral service for a former NYPD police officer killed during a shootout while on duty in Texas was held in Manhattan today.



Officer David Hofer, who worked in Queens until moving to Texas, was killed last Tuesday, according to officials. 



Hundreds gathered during a memorial service in Bedford, Texas on Saturday. 



The funeral service was held at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Policemen from Hofer's Texas department were also present at the funeral. 



Horfer will be buried in New York. 



The 29-year-old moved to Texas to be with his fiancée.
