O'Connor's Carpet is sharing its secret to a thriving business in the area.

The business started about 45 years ago when Edward O'Connor began the carpet business from his garage. O'Connor's son, Keith O'Connor, is the current owner of the establishment and he says one must adapt in order to survive in this business.

"During the recession, times were harder so we weren't trying to sell high-end carpet. We were trying to meet the people's needs in bringing in good quality carpets that we could sell at a better price," says Keith O'Connor.

When asked if he would ever leave the Bronx, Keith told News 12 that if his business ever needed to expand he would get a bigger space but never leave the Bronx.
