Locust Point man says neighbor’s yard is an eyesore
A Locust Point man is in a dispute over what he describes as an eyesore on his absentee neighbor's Prentiss Avenue property.
"I get annoyed every time I look out the window," says Marty Levine, 54. "People figure the house is abandoned and they throw their garbage here."
Levine says no one has lived in the home for around a year. A News 12 investigation found that the property belongs to Elizabeth Mahoney, who currently lives in North Carolina.
Levine says he's been paying out of pocket to clean up the trash, but people keep dumping more.
Mahoney declined to comment on the issue.
Levine says he reached out to 311 for help, but nothing's been done. The next step, he says, is to move out of the area.
The city's Department of Sanitation says it's looking into the matter.
