Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and other local officials gathered Wednesday to show support for Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.
Diaz stood alongside Assemblyman Marcos Crespo and other elected officials at the County Courthouse to encourage Latino voters to cast their ballots for Clinton on April 19 during the New York primary.
They say the former secretary of state has a longstanding relationship with the Hispanic community in the Bronx.
Officials say they are confident she will carry their concerns to the White House.
