Police: 2 teens injured in shooting, stabbing outside P.S. 30 in Mott Haven

Police say two 18-year-old men were injured in a stabbing and shooting outside of a Mott Haven school in broad daylight Friday.

The incident occurred at around 4 p.m. in front of P.S. 30, located on Willis Avenue and East 143th Street, as elementary school students were being let out for the day.

Police say one victim, a Hispanic male, was stabbed the neck and the other, a black male, was shot in the arm.

News 12 is told one of the victims appeared to be trying to flee the scene, and ran a few blocks to East 144th Street, where he collapsed in front of a day care center.

Police say both victims are in stable condition at Lincoln Medical Center.

Police say they believe the incident may have been gang-related.
