College students help spruce up Claremont Park

College students joined different organizations from around the Bronx Sunday to spruce up Claremont Park.

People planted bulbs, restored flower beds and put protective fencing around trees.

Free health screenings, a library card enrollment area, and fun activities for children were also featured at the event.

Organizers and volunteers hope to maintain the upkeep so that the park will continue to look better.

The event was held by Bronx is Blooming and Chestnut Holdings.
