Lawmaker touts NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton as next Secret Service director

Could New York City's top cop be the nation's next Secret Service director? 



That's what one California lawmaker is pushing for. Congresswoman Janice Hahn says NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton would be the "perfect pick" to take over the troubled agency. 



The Los Angeles Democrat worked with Bratton when he was the police chief there and she was on the City Council. 



Secret Service Director Julia Pierson resigned last week following recent presidential protection lapses, including an intruder making it through White House doors.
