Burglary suspect targets Allerton apartments on Mace Avenue
Police are looking for the individual or group responsible for a string of burglaries in an Allerton apartment building.
One of the victims on 776 Mace Ave. says he actually came home to find one of the burglars in his apartment. That individual, according to the victim, was still able to get away with $2,000.
Another resident living on a different floor believes the same person broke into her home and stole $300 in cash along with her daughter's financial aid check.
According to investigators, the robberies occurred one right after the other on Tuesday morning. They say there have been no signs of forced entry.
Tenants worry that the robber could be someone with a key to the building. They're calling for security cameras on every floor and new locks.
Police say they have not made any arrests at this time.
