String of burglaries strike apartment building on Mace Avenue

An unknown burglar broke into two apartments Tuesday morning in Allerton, according to police.

One victim reported the theft of $2,000. The other reported the loss of $300 and a financial aid card.

One of the victims says he came home to find the burglar still inside his apartment. He says the suspect punched him and ran out.

Neighbors say police found no signs of forced entry and fear that the suspect could have a master key.
