The NYPD has released the image of a car similar to the one they believe was involved in a deadly hit-and-run last month.
The photo of a generic black Honda Pilot is the same type of vehicle that police say struck 26-year-old Rony Mejia on Pelham Parkway and White Plains Road.
According to investigators, Mejia was first hit by a livery cab at around 1 a.m. on Sept. 28. That driver stayed on the scene, but another car ran him over a second time and fled the scene.
Mejia was pronounced dead on arrival to Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
