Authorities have sent out an alert about state police 911 call centers experiencing irregular phone line issues.
A police spokesman says residents should call dispatch at 914-742-6116 if an attempted call to state police via 911 is not completed.
Lines to fire, police or emergency services could also be affected.
Crews are currently working to correct the problem.
