Students at Riverdale high school retell holocaust survival stories
Students at SAR High School in Riverdale are preparing a very unique performance ahead of Holocaust Remembrance Day.
As part of the "Witness Theater," high schoolers across the city are paired with holocaust survivors. The students learn their stories and will reenact important moments from their lives.
Dalia Katz, a student at SAR High School, says this whole experience has been an honor.
"I think it's so important that we can record all of the survivors that are left,” says Katz. “To find others who know their stories so we can continue passing them.”
The show is set to take place Sunday, April 23 at SAR High School on West 259th Street in Riverdale at 6:30 p.m.
