Police: Man stabbed by machete in Mott Haven

A man was stabbed by a machete in Mott Haven on Sunday.

The attack happened in front of a deli on the corner of East 152nd Street and Wales Avenue.

Police say the man wielding the machete stabbed the victim several times. They say the victim is in his 20s, and expected to be OK, but that the suspect got away.

Officials say the victim was unwilling to give them any details about the incident, but the victim's dad told News 12 off camera that his son was stabbed over a stolen hard drive.

Police say the man was taken to Lincoln Hospital where he is recovering from several cuts to his head.
