8-year-old donates Easter baskets to kids in hospital
A young Bronx girl is working hard to put a smile on the faces of children who are in the hospital this Easter.
Promyse Coles, age 8, is making and donating Easter baskets for the young patients at Montefiore Children's Hospital.
She knows how hard it was on her family when her baby sister had a respiratory infection back in December, and she had to spend Christmas in the hospital.
"I wanted to give back to the sick children to let them know that it doesn't matter if they're in the hospital, that they could still enjoy Easter," Promyse says.
With her mom and cousin as her assistants, she made sure to get the gifts to the children in time for Easter Sunday.
She hopes to do it again on other holidays, like Thanksgiving, Christmas and Halloween.
