Bronx resident’s nonprofit helps thousands of needy animals

THE BRONX -

April marks Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, and one Bronx resident has gone above and beyond to help needy animals.

Regina Spadavecchia has always loved animals, and two years ago she started a nonprofit called Adore-A-Bullie Paws and Claws in Pelham Gardens.

With the help of her husband and volunteers, she has rescued and placed thousands of animals, and organized low-cost health care as well.

Spadavecchia says she's willing to talk to anyone who knows of animals in need, or anyone looking to adopt.
