Bronx residents flock outside to soak in sun, high temps

Bronx residents flocked outdoors today to enjoy temperatures in the upper-70s.

The pleasant weather coincides with spring break for many students across the city.

After last week's cold, wet weather, Macombs Dam Park saw dozens hit the track early to get in a workout. At Olinville Playground, near the Bronx River, children played on monkey bars, slides and basketball courts.

Overnight lows are expected in the mid- to upper-50s with a chance of thunderstorms, according to forecasts. Morning rain is expected to give way to sunshine and highs returning to the mid-70s Wednesday.
