Spring break, warm weather arrive together

THE BRONX -

Bronx residents welcomed sunny, warm weather Monday by soaking up the sun in the borough's open spaces.

At Pelham Bay Park, residents were out flying drones, playing with dogs and shooting hoops, among other outdoor activities.

Monday marked the first day above 70 degrees in New York City this year, and it coincided with the first day of spring break for many students.

The pleasant weather is expected to continue Tuesday with highs in the upper-70s before clouds and possible showers at night.

On Wednesday, highs could reach the low-70s once again, but morning showers are expected, according to forecasts.
