Residents: Landlord ignored court order to restore gas to building

Residents rallied outside their Bronx apartment building Friday after they say their landlord ignored a judge's ruling to restore gas service.

The residents at 1777 Grand Concourse say they have been living without gas for 10 months even after a judge ordered their landlord to turn it back on.

A lawsuit filed in September claims the building had no hot water and multiple leaks resulting in over 250 violations.

Tenants headed back to court to speak before a judge about their situation.

Tenants say building management has told them they are doing everything they can to repair the issues and restore gas to the building.

News 12 reached out to the management company who oversees the building, but has yet to hear back.
