Man accused of stealing from customer inside Bronx laundromat

A man is accused of stealing a woman's purse while she was washing her clothes inside a laundromat in the Bronx, police say.

The incident happened on March 19, inside the Blue Ribbon Laundromat at the intersection of East 170th Street and College Avenue at 9 p.m.

Police say the suspect stole a woman's purse when she wasn't looking.

Investigators say the laundromat was also robbed once in October when a man threatened an employee with a box cutter and stole $300.

Police did not say if the two cases are related.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
