Bronx ranked least healthiest county in NY 7th year in a row

The Bronx has ranked the least healthiest county in New York state for the seventh year in a row, according to an annual report.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation released its annual county health rankings.

The top counties in the state are Saratoga, Rockland and Nassau.

Bronx county ranked dead last out of 62 counties in the state.

The Bronx has earned the title of being the least healthiest county in New York since 2011.

Last year, the news sparked a social media campaign by the Bronx Borough President's office which used the campaign #not62 as a way to urge residents to take steps to lead healthier lifestyles.

The report does note some improvements Bronx residents have made to their lifestyles.

The number of adults who smoke is down 2 percent from 2016.

However, the number of obese and physically inactive adults have both increased.
