5 New clouds added to International Cloud Atlas

As a way to celebrate World Meteorological Day, five new cloud types have been added the the international could Atlas. 



The World Meteorological Organization announced the inclusion of the new clouds which include types commonly seen in the New York area. The new clouds include--Asperitas, Voltus, Cavum, Fluctus and Homogenitios.



This is the first time in 30 years that the atlas has been updated. 



The World Meteorological Organization is a specialized agency of the United Nations and was founded in 1950.
