Wind, cold linger as spring kicks off

Spring is here, but Wednesday brought cold weather and whipping winds to the Bronx.

Many pedestrians wore winter coats to counter temperatures in the 30s that are expected to drop overnight into the 20s, according to forecasts.

The National Weather Service also issued a wind advisory until 8 p.m.

Temperatures will climb into the mid-40s Thursday, with clear skies and lighter winds, according to News 12 meteorologists.

Highs on Friday and Saturday will be in the 50s and 60s, respectively, with temperatures dipping back down into the 40s Sunday.
