2 suspects steal medicine from Bronx Rite Aid

Police are searching for two suspects in the robbery of thousands of dollars' worth of medicine from a Bronx Rite Aid on Eastchester Road, officials say.

News 12 is told the unidentified man and woman acted as a team to steal about $4,200 of over-the-counter medicine at about 4:30 a.m. on March 12.

Police are calling the crime an act of grand larceny.

Footage reveals the two suspects wearing hats and walking down Rite Aid's medicine aisle. The woman is seen placing several boxes and bottles into a bag, while the man stands to her side and appears to be blocking her.

Rite Aid's manager says they have since been more cautious with storing expensive medication. They are now placing medicine with high value in security boxes as a preventative measure.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
