Hostos Community College holds wellness festival

Hostos Community College held a wellness festival Thursday to promote healthy living in the state's unhealthiest county.

The Bronx is notoriously the most unhealthy county in New York State.

Students received screenings for high blood pressure and sexually transmitted infections.

They also attended demos on healthy eating and had access to mental health resources.

Participants have some advice for staying healthy in school.

They say students should drink lots of water, eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains and unsalted nuts and get plenty of sleep.
