Country Club residents frustrated after cars enclosed in ice
Bronx residents worked tirelessly Wednesday recruiting neighbors and friends to help dig out their cars, encased in 3 inches of ice left behind from a brutal nor'easter.
Residents along Spencer Drive in Country Club say they would have much rather taken 24 inches of snow over just 3 inches of ice.
Although many of the roadways were clear Wednesday, much of that snow was left to pile up on the sides of the streets where people park their cars.
One man says he gave himself at least two hours to shovel out what he described as "all ice."
Schools reopened today after the mayor closed them due to Tuesday's storm.
