DSNY clearing snow in Clason Point

The Department of Sanitation had its hands full Tuesday as crews worked to clear snow from Clason Point and other Bronx neighborhoods.

Snowplows cleared the roads as workers used snowblowers to remove heavy wet snow from sidewalks.

Residents in the area said icy roads and fierce winds made it difficult to get around the borough.

Tuesday's snowstorm was downgraded from a blizzard after the system tracked further north, according to the National Weather Service.

New York City public schools are open Wednesday, according to city officials.
