BX waterfront development expected for 2019

The architectural renderings for a new waterfront development, years in the works, have just been released, with expectations for completion by the end of 2019.

The new development will break ground along the South Bronx waterfront by the Third Avenue Bridge and is to be completed by co-developers the Chetrit Group and Somerset Partners.

News 12 is told developers are also talking about their plans to revitalize the neighborhood, by offering retail space, creating inside and outside amenities and parking.

Residents in the neighborhood say they are still uncertain as to what to expect from the development but that it is good to see change in the area.
