Bronx teen preps for dance competition in Ireland

A Bronx teen is getting ready to head to Ireland for an Irish dancing world championship competition.

Kasey Van Doran, of Woodlawn, has been dancing since she was 5 years old. She practices every weekday and competes on the weekends.

She says she has fractured her hip, dislocated the other and broke her right foot twice, but it isn't stopping her from preparing for the world championship in Dublin.

"I am just hoping to get in the top 50 this year," she says.

The competition is scheduled for next month.
