Morrisania woman blames NYCHA for ceiling collapse

A Morrisania family claims that NYCHA neglected to address the mold on their ceiling before it came crashing to the floor.

Regina Padilla says she notified the housing authority at least 15 times about black spotting on her bathroom ceiling.

She says the problem had been going on for the last few months and that maintenance initially cleaned and painted over the marks twice.

Padilla says the spots returned and that no one did anything about it despite her persistence.

News 12 reached out to NYCHA, who responded saying it addressed the issue and made repairs Monday.
