Residents urged to bundle up amid freezing weekend temps

Residents planning on heading outside Sunday are advised to bundle up amid frigid temperatures.

Temperatures Sunday were not expected to be above freezing, and temperatures at night will drop down to the mid-20s.

Residents are urged to wear hats, gloves and scarves to stay warm and make sure electric heaters are used properly to avoid accidental fires.

News 12 meteorologists say temperatures will reach the upper-40s on Monday.
