Lenneia Batiste joined the News 12 The Bronx/Brooklyn news team in March 2016 as an anchor and reporter. Lenneia is from Atlanta, GA, and previously worked at WGXA in Macon, GA as a morning news co-anchor.

Lenneia received her bachelor's degree in English from Spelman College, and a master's degree in Journalism from Florida A&M University.

Lenneia won a first place Associated Press award for “Best Light Feature” for her story highlighting the abilities of a young lady born with no arms. She also traveled to Haiti for a documentary covering the indirect economic impacts of the 2010 earthquake, and covered the 2012 Democratic National Convention for FAMU-TV20. Lenneia is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

When Lenneia isn't anchoring, she loves spending time with her husband Jonathan and their lovable dog, Soco. Lenneia is excited to be in here in The Bronx and Brooklyn, and enjoys learning more about the people and culture of each borough.
