Pat O'Keefe is the Sports Director for News 12 The Bronx and News 12 Brooklyn and joined the team in 2007.

Some of Pat’s highlights of covering sports in his hometown include reporting on the 2009 World Series and a handful of NCAA Tournaments with LIU Brooklyn and Manhattan College. However, among his favorite events to attend are the annual Turkey Bowl games between Mount St. Michael & Cardinal Hayes and Fordham Prep & Xavier.

Pat is also the creator and host of the Emmy Award winning “News 12 Overtime”, a sports/newsmagazine show that goes in depth to tell the stories of local athletes in The Bronx and Brooklyn. He also created and hosts “News 12 Extra Time”, a weekly SportsTalk show on

Pat began his broadcasting career in Billings, Montana, where he was the play-by-play voice of the Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears. While in Billings, he also reported for the local NBC and CBS affiliates.

After Billings, Pat headed further west to Anchorage, Alaska, where he was the Sports Director for KIMO, Alaska's SuperStation. It was in Alaska where Pat enjoyed his most unique broadcasting experience, covering the 2006 Iditarod.

A native New Yorker, Pat attended Regis High School in Manhattan and competed against many of the schools that he covers every day. He then graduated from SUNY Brockport.

When not covering sports, Pat enjoys spending time with his family and is very likely to be found at his kids’ track meets somewhere in The Bronx.
