Tony Chau joined News 12 Brooklyn as a General Assignment reporter in March 2016. He graduated from New York University and started his career in journalism as a News Assistant at NY1.
A native of Brooklyn, he spent his childhood in Kensington before moving to Gravesend. He is thrilled to report on meaningful stories for the only place he's called home. Over the course of his career, he's covered the Papal Visit to New York, the largest snowstorm in New York City history, and the sentencing of former officer Peter Liang.
In his personal time, he enjoys eating extraordinary amounts of food, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and exercising - with the goal of one day completing a marathon and a triathlon.
Tony is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and a very proud alumnus of the Emma Bowen Foundation.
