Cold temperatures to start Friday, but a warm up is in store this weekend for New Jersey.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist James Gregorio said icy spots were possible during the Friday morning commute after temperatures fell back into teens overnight. Sunny skies, though, are expected Friday, with high temperatures in the upper-30s to low-40s.

Colder air moves in again overnight, dropping temperatures into the upper-20s. Sunny skies on Saturday will come with highs in the 50s, a great day for any outdoor plans. Sunday will be dry with temperatures again near 50 but with partly cloudy skies.

The next chance for rain arrives Monday, as temperatures hover just below 50 degrees.
