Local library in need of a makeover pushes for funding

The city's public library system is pushing for an increase in its capital budget for a number of locations in need of a makeover.
The staff at the West Farms Library say the center's leaky roof is so bad that it impacts services in the children's room.
The city's public library system is asking for $150 million in new capital funding for the 2018 fiscal year to repair, upgrade and maintain a number of its branches throughout the city.
The library system also wants to expand hours to seven days a week and is urging residents to contact their local representative to push for the additional funding.
