Coney Island merchants hope for beach season business boom

City beaches officially open on Saturday, which means it is the start of a busy summer season for businesses along the boardwalk in Coney Island.
Local pizza maker Nicholas Lugo says he expects to sell about 5,000 slices a day once the beach opens to swimmers.
Dennis Vouderis, co-owner of Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, says his staff is still taking in last minute deliveries to get ready for the weekend.
Local beachgoers say they hope the beaches will be clean and safe this season.
