A Soundview family reunited with its missing dog after a little girl found her in the street and reached out to News 12.

Lilly was missing for a week and a half, and her family also contacted News 12 as part of a long, tireless search.

"[Lilly had] been missing for 10 days,” said Maybeline Roman, the dog’s owner. “I haven't been able to eat or sleep for 10 days."

Roman and her family put up signs bearing Lilly’s picture throughout the neighborhood. Then a little girl found Lilly on Perdie Street and cared for her until locating her family.

Lilly’s owners say they are going to keep a close eye on her now that she’s home.
