Co-op City hosts annual community fair honoring Caribbean culture
Thousands showed up Saturday to be a part of this year’s Co-op City community fair.
The smell of sweet Caribbean food filled the air during the annual Co-op City Fair.
For years, the event has brought community members together. Family members young and old celebrate by eating, shopping and participating in many activities.
Over 200 vendors set up at the fair selling clothes, toys and food.
The theme of this year’s fair was the celebration of Caribbean heritage.
Organizers tell News 12 they are also taking the opportunity to reach out to the community in Co-op City and encourage them to get more involved and ask them to register to vote.
