Residents in Kingsbridge say a busy intersection in the Bronx is just too confusing and dangerous.

Residents say a yield sign and not a stop sign at Fort Independence Street and Heath Avenue is to blame for the confusion because most motorists just drive right through the area instead of yielding.

Crossing the intersection is also puzzling and one resident says pedestrians often get hit by cars because they are unsure of when to cross the street.

There is also a school near the crossing and residents fear students may get hurt.  

However, relief may be on the way.

The Department of Transportation says they plan on installing a signal at the intersection this summer.
