NYC public schools let out for summer

SOUNDVIEW -

Wednesday marked the final day of school for kids in the New York City public school system.

Students at P.S. 93 in Soundview celebrated the start of their long-awaited summer vacation.

From vacations to relaxing and even studying for some, students say they have big plans in store.

Despite local charter and private schools letting out the week prior, public school students say the wait was worth it and they can't wait to make up the lost time.
