Bloodmobile allows for blood donations on the go

NORWOOD -

The New York Blood Center is making it quick and easy for people to donate blood.

The center declared an emergency Wednesday, saying its supplies have dropped below required minimums, even for the seasonally low summer months.

A bloodmobile was parked in Norwood Thursday, but will travel all over to let people donate on the go. It features four stations for people to donate.

To donate, you need to provide any picture ID and fill out some paperwork before the process starts. It usually takes less than an hour. Hydration and goodies are provided afterward.
