Youth People's Division hosts community event

Posted: Updated:

Community organizers gathered in Hunts Point Friday to encourage young people to lead positive lives and make noble choices.

The event took place on Faile Street and was held by Young People's Division, an organization that seeks to provide resources for young people in need and offer positive alternatives to the streets.

The city’s youth was welcomed to enjoy classic cars on display and participate in fun outdoor activities.

Attendees could attend a panel in which organizers spoke to teens and youth about the importance of education, doing the right thing and bringing out the greatest in one another.
