A Bronx man is asking the city for help Wednesday after he says his car has been repeatedly targeted by burglars in Highbridge.
Manny Castro says the most recent break-in happened near Plimton playground on University Avenue. He says the thieves only stole some change from the car, but it’s the third time it has happened.
Police confirm a break-in as recent as July 12. They say people need to be careful with valuables and suggest hiding change, wallets and purses.
Castro says he wants cameras added to the street where the robbery took place. Several people in the area say they've seen other people dealing with similar issues.
Officials say the nearby park is a well-lit area with surveillance.
